This article outlines the steps you'll need to take to ensure you can have your own custom branded PTminder Mobile Apps on Apple's App Store (iOS/iPhone/iPad). These steps are not required for the Android version.

Due to Apple's rules/guidelines, your business must register its own Apple Developer account. These are universal rules issued directly by Apple that apply to all businesses and developers who wish to operate on the App Store.

Our goal is to make this process as straightforward and painless as possible for you and your business.. While these steps below may be lengthy and take time to do, rest assured it only needs to be done once. Once you have your Apple Developer account ready, the PTminder team will take over with publishing your apps and keeping them updated for you. Our customer service team is also here to help you along the way!

How much does the Apple Developer Membership cost?
Apple charge an annual USD $99 fee for your developer account.

Important: you must be enrolled in the Apple Developer Program as an 'Organization', not as an 'Individual'. This is so you can invite PTminder to manage the apps on behalf of your organization, it is not supported as an Individual due to Apple restrictions. If you are a sole-proprietor and/or do not have a registered legal entity (such as a company), then you are not eligible for Apple's Developer Program as an 'Organization', which also means PTminder is unable to create custom-branded apps for you under the Platinum plan.

Prerequisites

A business email address

Apple doesn't accept personal email addresses e.g Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook etc. You'll need your own business domain name email address (e.g something@yourbusiness.com). If you already have your own website, email is typically included as part of the package.

A business website

Your organisation’s website must be publicly available and the domain name must be associated with your organisation. If you don't have a website yet, PTminder recommends either WIX and Weebly.

Your organisation must be a legal entity so that it can enter into contracts with Apple. Apple does not accept DBAs, fictitious businesses, trade names, or branches.

Steps

Find or obtain your D-U-N-S® Number

Once you have all of the prerequisites above in place, the next step is to find or obtain what is called a "D-U-N-S® Number" for your company. Your organisation must have a D-U-N-S Number so that Apple can verify your organisation’s identity and legal entity status. These unique nine-digit numbers are assigned by Dun & Bradstreet and are widely used as standard business identifiers. You can check to see if your organisation already has a D-U-N-S Number and request one if necessary. They are free in most jurisdictions. If you request a D-U-N-S Number, it can take up to 5 business days to receive, and a further 2 days for it to be updated with Apple. Apple provide more info on this here.

Depending on your country, here are thelinks where you can lookup or request a D-U-N-S Number:
United States
United Kingdom
Australia
New Zealand

Create an Apple ID for your Business

It's recommended to have a dedicated Apple ID for your business, separate from your personal one. This is where your Apple Developer Program will be linked and charged the USD $99 annual fee.

Enroll with the Apple Developer Program

Next up, you'll need to enroll in the program.

After you've submitted your application, Apple will contact you within 1-2 weeks with verification (usually quicker). Once you receive the confirmation, you'll need to follow the steps they provide to pay for the enrollment. We also recommend you enable the 'Automatic Renewal' option.

Invite PTminder to manage your App account

Final step, please contact the PTminder support team letting them know you have completed the Apple Developer steps and that you're now ready to invite PTminder to your account. We'll provide you with an email address to use for the invitation. You'll then invite PTminder to your account by following the steps in this article.
